To measure the tension of your bobbin case, place the bobbin inside the bobbin case with the thread unwinding the correct way, then insert the Bobbin Case into the Bobbin Tension Gauge. Pull the bobbin thread and guide it under the bottom wheel, over the top of the top wheel and then around the catch. As the thread is pulled to the left, the top wheel and red pointer move down and the numbers increase. The higher the number, the tighter the tension. To loosen the tension, turn the screw on the bobbin case in small increments anti-clockwise. Make only very small adjustments when tightening or loosening the tension screw.
